Available for assignment to duty on an ad hoc basis and in a various potential nursing units, usually to assist in times of unusually heavy workloads or to assume the duties of absent nursing personnel. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to medical center policy, mission, and standards of practice as defined by professional and regulatory guidelines.
