MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Network Administrator the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). You will play a crucial role in upgrading and modernization NASIC IT systems and networks.
  • Provide infrastructure engineering and installation Level II and III CFP escalation support
  • Maintain architectural diagrams and installation records
  • Conduct network cabling design and installation
  • Plan and execute network upgrades and expansion troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
  • Diagnose and solve issues
  • Provide technical guidance to IT staff and end users regarding network related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Coordinate with other IT teams to work toward resolutions
  • Prepare detailed reports on all work performed and update facility records and work reports
  • Must have the ability to perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces
  • Good communication skills - will be expected to work directly with the customer
  • Strong verbal skills are a plus - the successful candidate will be working with and for a wide range of people, some who are IT literate and some who are not, so the successful candidate must be able to talk to and gather information from both
  • The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced high-demand atmosphere and can expect to be busy all of the time

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
  • Experience: 2+ years of related experience
  • Certifications: IAT Level II certification (Security +) / Industry recognized fiber-optic certification
  • Security clearance level: TS SCI-eligible
  • US citizenship required: US Citizen

The likely salary range for this position is $64,230 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
