Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in critical care to join a dynamic acute care team. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, including advanced clinical procedures such as conscious sedation, IV therapy, and phlebotomy. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an acute/critical care setting
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation in accordance with established protocols
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy with a high level of accuracy and patient safety
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care
• Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and clinical best practices
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Respond effectively to emergencies and critical situations
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care processes

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State, in good standing
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in: Critical Care, Conscious Sedation, IV Insertion, Phlebotomy, Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)

Important Details:

• 13-week contract position (extensions available)
• Shift is 3 x 11.5-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 8:00 PM), 34.5 hrs/week
• Location is Bronx, NY 10451
• Pay Range for Locals: $60 - $65 per hour
• Pay Range for Travelers: $2,500 - $2,560 per week
