Job Description
Job Summary for GIS Analyst/Sr. GIS Programmer
- Perform application development and maintenance for GIS applications supporting Baltimore County's Office of Information Technology GIS Program.
- Develop and maintain ArcGIS Server web applications and upgrade existing GIS applications.
- Support configuration and integration efforts with CityWorks and related GIS web services.
- Repair and upgrade Facilities and utility toolsets written in Visual C# using Visual Studio 2010 with ArcObjects SDK 10.1.
- Utilize technologies including J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, Python, and ESRI ArcGIS technologies (Server, APIs, Web AppBuilder, Collector, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Mobile).
- Apply strong knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Analyze and resolve program and production problems.
- Develop reports using SSRS.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Position follows a hybrid work schedule (approx. 40% remote, 60% onsite at Towson, MD).
- Requires at least five years of relevant development experience; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Recent experience with government entities is a plus.
- Must complete background check and display County-issued security badge at all County locations.
- Provide at least two professional references for similar work performed.
