Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Data Products Support Analyst to provide front-line technical and operational support for data products, reports, and reporting tools. This fully remote, part-time position serves as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, helping users access data products, troubleshoot issues, and ensure information is accurate, accessible, and easy to use.

 

Job Description

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical inquiries, application usage questions, and troubleshooting support related to data products and reporting tools.
  • Receive, track, prioritize, and manage data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist users with data access, report interpretation, and general data-related support inquiries.
  • Log, document, and track all customer interactions and resolutions within a help desk or ticketing system.
  • Support the fulfillment, maintenance, and delivery of data products, reports, dashboards, and information requests.
  • Execute recurring, scheduled, and ad hoc reporting activities using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and related Microsoft tools.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to data quality, reporting discrepancies, and user access.
  • Validate and analyze data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Utilize SQL, APIs, applications, and databases to retrieve, validate, and analyze data products.
  • Run and modify pre-written SQL queries to support reporting and data requests.
  • Navigate databases and reporting platforms to investigate issues and fulfill stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to gather reporting requirements, metrics, and process improvements.
  • Maintain documentation for data products, reporting workflows, procedures, and support processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, standardization, and process enhancements.
  • Contribute to knowledge management efforts by documenting common issues and resolutions.

 

Skills Required

  • Experience in data support, reporting, business operations, analytics, data coordination, or a related environment preferred.
  • Experience working with databases, reporting systems, or ticket/request management platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and data management concepts preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Basic SQL skills, including the ability to execute and make minor modifications to pre-written queries.
  • Experience navigating databases and working with APIs.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow.
  • Exposure to reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong analytical thinking and critical reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to identify issues, investigate root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a focus on responsiveness and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Education

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

 

Additional requirements

  • Part-Time with occasional up to 40hrs/week

Pay rate

  • $40 - $55 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
