JOB DESCRIPTION: FRANKLIN COMMUNITY CHURCH(FCC) BOOKEEPER
RESPONSIBLE FOR GENERATING ACCURATE ACCOUNTING BOOKS, RECORDS AND REPORTS REQUIRED TO SUPPORT FCC STAFF, OUR ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL AND OUR BOARD OF TRUSTEES. BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF STANDARD CASH BASIS ACCOUNTING AND BOOKEEPING PROCEDURES. PROFICIENT WITH BASIC TECHNOLOGY SKILLS. PROFICIENCT COMMUNICATION SKILLS. ATTENTION TO DETAIL. PROFICIENT WITH EXCEL. ANALYTICAL SKILLS TO IDENTIFY ERRORS AND DESCREPANCIES. MUST BE KNOWLEDGABLE WITH INTUIT QUICK BOOKS AND HAVE FAMILIARITY WORKING WITH THIRD PARTY PAYROLL SERVICES. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- DEPOSIT AND RECORD CHURCH MEMBER DONATIONS
- PREPARE AND PROCESS VENDOR CHECKS FROM CHECK REQUESTS BI-MONTHLY
- CALL IN OR ON-LINE INPUT OF STAFF HOURS AND PAY TO PAYROLL SERVICE TWICE PER MONTH
- PREPARE JOURNAL ENTRIES TO RECORD PAYROLL FROM THE PAYROLL SERVICE REPORTS
- RECORD JOURNAL ENTRIES FOR ETF’S AND INVESTMENT ACTIVITIES
- RECONCILE BANK ACCOUNT MONTHLY
- PREPARE BALANCE SHEET AND INCOME STATEMENT (TREASURER’S REPORT), BUDGET VS ACTUAL, ON A MONTHLY/TIMELY BASIS
- PREPARE QUARTERLY CHURCH MEMBER YEAR TO DATE CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS
- PREPARE ANNUAL CHURCH MEMBER CONTRIBUTION REPORTS, NEEDED FOR TAX PURPOSES
- INPUT ANNUAL BUDGET
- PREPARE ANNUAL UNITED METHODIST CONFERENCE STATISTICAL AND OTHER REPORTS
- SUPPLY INFORMATION FOR ANNUAL PAYROLL INSURANCE AUDIT
- SUPPLY INFORMATION FOR ANNUAL PCI COMPLIANCE
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
